This camp will be an energetic and entertaining exploration of both rhythm and movement. Kids will learn warm up exercises, stretches, simple dances and songs as well as make ribbon twirlers and musical instruments.

Bikes-Trikes and More, ages 3 - 7

The camp leader is legendary Freestyle bike rider Dave Nourie. The children will explore the wonders of two and three wheelers. Learn the basic workings of a bike, the importance of safety and good bike control. The students will help design bike scoots for the school out of recycled bike parts, what it takes to fix a flat tire and check to make sure your bike is in good working order. Bikes and helmets can be provided.

Cob Building a Fort, ages 3 - 7

Mud,mud and more mud, many hands make for light work. The children will learn the basic cob building technique hands on. The class will build a club house and create a wonderful play environment for Stone Soup. The will help build excellent team work, skills and planning. All while being covered in mud. There will be lots of excellent purposeful work to engage both large and small motor skills. A change of clothes is a must for this camp.

In this camp kids will experience dance steps from around the world. Circle dances, Flamenco palmas and pasos, Hula, and Indian dance will all be apart of the repertoire. We will also make our own instruments and costumes.

Upcycle! Art Camp, ages 3 - 7

Upcyling is re-useing random, old and broken items to make art, toys, games or tools. Teacher and kids will supply the items and the imagination to re-make, re-create and re-imagine. Children's Adventures in the Park, ages 3 - 5
Teacher: Kathryn Casternovia
We will meet each Friday at the Lithia park Butler Bandshell. We will spend the morning walking, doing imaginative play, identifying plants, singing, playing games, story telling and making crafts. There will be a maximum of 7 children. A healthy snack will be provided.

About the teacher:
As a mother of two grown children, I have resided in the Rogue Valley for 26 years. I have experience teaching Waldorf Kindergartens and Pre-schools. I also have extensive training in Art, Biodynamic farming, and landscape design, a good mix for an outdoor program. My specialties include story telling, music, plant identification, crafting with natural materials, painting, crafting and imaginative play.

Little Fox Class, ages 6 and under
This is really where it all begins. This day program with overnight options runs Monday - Friday. What a great way to spend a week in the mountains with your children or to take a short break while they play and are closely supervised by our staff trained in early childhood development and care.

Day camp hours are 8am - 4pm with options to overnight. This class is based entirely on the youngsters. General areas of play are; animal study through body movement and performance; the philosophy of playing with the earth, taught through storytelling and games. We teach entirely through hands-on and experiential learning techniques. This course is also open to grandparents to attend with their grandchildren. This positive outdoor experience helps children to naturally explore and learn through the sounds and smells of nature. Come and take a break with us and enjoy the fresh summer mountain air with your kids. Adults and children participate in all activities together.
Class size limited to 7.

Fee Day Camp: $195 (lunch included)
