Molly's purpose is to assist students to overcome the fear and frustration that usually accompanies the learning of math. She tutors both middle school and high school students in advanced algebra II, SAT math prep and GED prep.

Kim Marie Murphy, M.S.

Since 1996, Kim Marie has helped a wide range of elementary, middle, high school, and college students reach their academic potentials. She provides an individualized learning environment for four-year university and community college students, honors students working to raise their good grades even higher, those struggling with basic concepts, and younger students whose parents want to ensure a solid learning foundation for a successful academic future.

She assists students in developing knowledge of the subject material, study skills, confidence, and the ability to be self-supportive and pro-active in learning. She offers a choice of long-term, ongoing support or short term "emergency" support for test preparation, make-up work, etc.

Timothy Tussing

Timothy has been tutoring for about 20 years now, including more than 10 at the college level. Most recently, he was tutoring for the Math Dept. at CSU Chico and also at Butte College. He is available to tutor in Algebra, Basic Math, Pre-Calculus and Statistics.

His students have said that he is patient and explains things in ways that they can clearly understand. He believes that students, especially math students, need confidence and encouragement.

Lennon Pierce

Ed Hirsch

Ed majored in philosophy (B.A.) and later psychology (M.A.) but taught math at a private school for two years, and has tutored math (mostly middle and high school levels) for over ten years. His teaching of chess for almost seven years furthered his understanding of problem solving.

His focus is not on advanced mathematics but on basic understanding of beginning and elementary mathematics, to make it doable and enjoyable as a game, logic puzzle, or mind training.

Since 1983, Laurie has tutored students who have struggled in school. She has helped hundreds of students reach their potential, using the Orton-Gillingham Approach, the most established method for teaching students with dyslexia and other language-based learning difficulties. Her extensive experience includes ten years as Director of Language Training at the Kildonan School for dyslexic students.
