Dance With Miss Tina

Ballet I and II, ages 5 - 7

This class is a basic classical ballet class that teaches fundamental ballet positions, correct alignment, barre work, center work, choreography, proper classroom behavior, stretches and reverence. Students will be encouraged to learn combinations and practice with a focused discipline.

Ballet II, ages 8 - 15

Students may enter at their own level, but this class will have students that are aware of the basics and ready to progress consistently on a weekly basis. Students creating their own choreography will be a part of the curriculum.

Tiny Tots Creative Ballet, ages 3 - 5

A magical exploration of the body starting from the floor and moving to the air. The students learn at their own pace, but get a basic understanding of how a dance class works. Working as a group, lining up in the corner, spacial directions on the floor and courtesy to others and our own bodies is the basic philosophy of the class. Using shapes that are symmetrical and asymmetrical is only one of the many techniques used to grasp a better awareness of ourselves. Ballet technique is organically taught so that the student is able to apply the positions to their body to increase their dance training.

Ballet III, ages 11 - teens/adults

A classical ballet class focusing on ballet fundamentals and intermediate ballet positions, correct alignment, barre work, center work, choreography, proper classroom behavior, stretches and reverence. Focused discipline is needed for the intensity of this class.

Instructor approval is needed before will have students that are aware of the basics and ready to progress consistently on a weekly bases. Students creating their own choreography will be a part of the curriculum. Lyrical modern combinations will also be added to the class to give the student a diverse range of movement and to expand their knowledge of dance.
